There is a native Linux build — use that and skip Wine entirely. The forum source behind this row has now been read in full, and it lists Vital under native, not under the bridged plugins. No opened source reports Vital being bridged at all.

Native alternative

Vital ships a native Linux build: the vendor lists Ubuntu Linux 18.04 and above alongside Windows and macOS, so nothing here needs bridging. Checked 2026-08-10 on vital.audio.

Caveats and fixes

The native build is the recommendation, not a workaround.
Correction, 2026-08-10: this page previously said Vital was 'reported working bridged'. Reading the source thread shows the poster ran the native build. The bridged claim had no source and has been withdrawn.
